A carport kit can be a cheap alternative to protecting your favorite vehicle or jetski from the weather. At SimplySheds we've worked hard to bring you the best possible deal when you buy your carport online, and as a rule of thumb, you can expect to pay about 1/2 of what it would cost you for the same size garage.
So depending on what you are looking for, you can really save a bunch!
How To Choose The Right Carport
Welcome to our easy 3 step process to choosing the right carport kit.
Step 1 - Will That Be A Single Or A Double Good Sir (Or Madam!)?
If you need more space, whether that means you have 2 cars to fit in, or a car and a bunch of stuff you need stored, or your weekend boat, we'd heavily recommend you go for a double carport.
If you only have need of a smaller space for that single jetski or car, then a single carport will be fine.
Step 2 - How High Is Too High? Select Your Height.
The next step is to decide on the height you'll need. This is also known as your clearance height.
Hopefully you have an idea of what you want to put under your carport and the best thing you can do is get out the ole' measuring tape and check what sort of clearance you'll need.
Most of our carports come stock standard with a height of 2.25m, but we also have extensions available, that can boost this up by an extra 300mm or 600mm if you need it.
Step 3 - To Zinc, Or Not To Zinc - A Question Of Colour.
If you're brilliant new carport kit is going to be erected in a place where few eyes will see it, you'll save a lot by choosing Zinc.
With that said, some people see Zinc as an eyesore, some councils will even deny a new carport if it isn't in a colorbond colour!
